Every hose change in the field is an ingress event. Particles at 4 µm and above attack proportional and servo elements; 6 µm and above accelerates pump and cylinder wear.
BSP and NPT share the same 1:16 taper but different thread form angles, 55° against 60°. In many common sizes they screw together and look correct, then leak under pressure. BSPP seals on a bonded washer against the port face, not on the threads.
Agricultural push-to-connect couplers and flat-face couplers are separate standards. A new implement and an older tractor frequently cannot be joined without an adapter, which is why adapters between the two are a stocked product in their own right.
Biodegradable hydraulic fluids are not one thing. ISO 15380 defines four families, and one of them, HEPG, is explicitly incompatible with paints, sealing materials, hoses and most other hydraulic oils.
Rubber ages whether or not the machine runs. Bulk hose sitting in a workshop and assemblies fitted to seasonally used equipment both quietly pass their service life.

Two-wire braid to EN 853 2SN or SAE 100R2AT is the usual construction for loader lift and tilt. What matters as much as the construction class is the routing: the loader arm flexes constantly, so abrasion cover condition and correct clamping usually decide the life of the assembly. SAE J1273 covers that routing and clamping practice.
It depends which biodegradable fluid. ISO 15380 defines four families, HETG, HEPG, HEES and HEPR. HEPG in particular is explicitly incompatible with paints, sealing materials, hoses and most other hydraulic oils, so the inner tube and seal elastomer have to be matched to the fluid. Name the fluid family in your RFQ and we will confirm compatibility, or tell you if we cannot supply for it.
ISO 5675 is the agricultural general-purpose quick-release coupler, a push-to-connect design that is breakaway capable, long established on tractor rear remotes. ISO 16028 is the flat-face family, common on newer and European implements and preferred where contamination control matters. They are separate standards and will not mate directly, which is why adapters between the two are sold as a product in their own right. Tell us which family is on both sides of your connection and we will confirm what we can supply against it.
Two common causes. Field dust entering the coupling face at every connect and disconnect, which scores the seal, and residual pressure trapped in the implement circuit making a clean reconnection impossible. Dust caps and clean disconnection practice fix most of it. ISO 4406 explains why the dust matters, the same particles that score a coupler seal also wear the pump.

Beyond the usual abrasion and impulse fatigue, agriculture adds three things: crop residue and mud packing around trailing hose bundles, year-round UV and ozone exposure on machines parked outdoors, and long idle periods where the rubber ages while the machine does not run. That last one is why DIN 20066 age practice bites hardest in agriculture.
Where the requirement is defined, yes. We need the hose construction class, length, both end types and the thread standard on each. Hose, ferrule and fitting should come from one matched series at the correct crimp diameter, because mixing brands compromises coupling retention.
